Welcome Message

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the organizing committee for the Biennial Workshop of the Orthopaedic Research Society International Section of Fracture Repair (ORS ISFR Kyoto 2018), it is my honor and pleasure to invite you to ORS ISFR Kyoto 2018, which will be held November 27 – 30, 2018 in Kyoto, Japan.

The Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS) and the International Society for Fracture Repair (ISFR) signed a new partnership agreement in 2016 for the establishment of the ORS International Section of Fracture Repair (ORS ISFR). This section is a community of individuals from around the world dedicated to advancement and exchange in the science of fracture repair, and application for the improvement of patient care.

ORS ISFR Kyoto 2018 (16th Biennial Conference of ISFR) will be the first big meeting under the new partnership.

The main two topics selected for this conference are “The Prevention and Treatment of Fragility Fractures and Pathological Fractures” and “The Diamond Concept of Bone Regeneration.” ORS ISFR Kyoto 2018 promises to offer an exciting scientific program with a wide variety of presentations on basic and clinical research. The conference brings together outstanding speakers and distinguished representatives from the scientific, clinical, and business communities to present leading research and cutting-edge technology in fracture repair.

ORS ISFR Kyoto 2018 provides more than a place to share academic knowledge. It also gives you a wonderful opportunity to experience the history, tradition and culture of Kyoto, an amazing city that offers a mixture of the ancient and the modern. One of the most beautiful and interesting cities in the world, Kyoto has been a center of culture in Japan for over a 1,000 years with spectacular examples of architecture, gardens, art, food, crafts, music, and more; and it is always fun to look for small aesthetic details everywhere you go in the city.

We hope that you can join us in Kyoto for the upcoming meeting. We believe the amazing historical city and the academic event will leave you with unforgettable memories.

We look forward to seeing you in Kyoto in November 2018.
